Galatians Chapters 1-3

In this episode, we begin the book of Galatians by reading chapters 1 through 3, where Paul strongly defends the true gospel and reminds believers that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not by following the law. In chapters 1 and 2, Paul shares his personal testimony and explains how his message came directly from Christ. He confronts false teachings that were leading believers away from the freedom found in grace and emphasizes that people are justified by faith, not by works of the law. Chapter 3 builds on this by pointing to Abraham as an example of faith and explaining that the law reveals humanity’s need for salvation, but the promise of God is fulfilled through Christ. Galatians 1–3 reminds us that the gospel is centered on grace, freedom, and faith in Jesus alone, and that no human effort can replace what Christ has already accomplished.
