Gambit, Pt I

We talk about the narrative structure and the shallowness of fake outs and deaths in media, from Boromir, to Picard, to John Snow. There's some discussion about Star Trek clumsily trying to affect seedy bars and archaeology sites. Gambit is the most uncompelling compelling episode I've ever seen and we try to figure out why. For everything happening, it doesn't feel like anything. Why doesn't this episode charm even a bit?
