Lester Kiewit speaks to Prof Linda-Gail Bekker, CEO of the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation and Director of the Desmond Tutu HIV Centre at UCT, about the significance of South Africa receiving its first batch of Lenacapavir, an injectable medicine that is a game changer in combating Hiv infections in vulnerable groups. Professor Bekker led one of the key efficacy trials, which focused on adolescent girls and young women.
