You know how sometimes you crack a joke and it just gets way out of hand? Think the additive principle of comedy: Someone will say something mildly, the next person adds to it and it becomes funnier. Each subsequent addition becomes funnier until it's hilarious. Then the next addition takes it over to silly, perpetuating a consisting addition of more funny that take it so far beyond funny that it's no longer funny. But it's a black hole of funny and can't stop sucking everything into it. And then it starts to derail a show before it's even begun. The personification of the additive princple of comedy is Dave "Holy Goalie" Gardner. He doesn't — quite frankly — know when to stop. And in this episode, Edie Sellers and Nick Dinicola try their best to pull the show back from the brink, and only succed in doing so by the greatest of mental will. You'll see... Enjoy.
