Gang rape and sexualised torture key weapons of Assad's militia in Syria

from Esperanza Productions · host Esperanza Productions

Rafif Jouejati Spokesperson for the Local Co-Ordination Committees in Syria spoke at a public meeting in Dublin about the rape crisis in Syria - an horrific part of the war Assad in particular has unleashed against his own people. 'Rape as Weapon of War - What Should Ireland Do?' was the question addressed by Rafif at the HQ of Ireland's National Womens' Council on Wednesday 22 May, 2013 at a meeting organised by the Irish Syrian Solidarity Campaign. The meeting was chaired by Ellen O'Malley Dunlop, CEO of the Rape Crisis Centre, and Rafif's addressed left many in audience quite shocked at what she had to say.
