Garcia’s Season May Be Over | Kansas City Royals News

Maikel Garcia’s season may be over after a brutal hamstring injury sidelines him again—this time with a Grade 1-plus tear, possibly ending his year with just a month left. The Royals’ third baseman, who started strong and even won MVP at the WBC, has been plagued by injuries all year, including a hand issue that kept him out for nearly two months. Now, with no clear path back, manager Matt Quatraro isn’t optimistic. Garcia, frustrated by online doubters, insists he’s motivated to return—even if it’s just for the final stretch. In his absence, Nick Loftin takes over at third, while Matthew Lugo, whose uncle is Hall of Famer Carlos Beltran, gets a shot in the outfield. The Royals are hoping Lugo can deliver some power to fill the void. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
