Gary Brooking on How to Leverage A Growth Mindset from the Royal Navy to the Wildfire Kitchen

from "Crisis To Crushin' it" · host Joel Ingram

Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast.Let's dive into this week's talk and help to:Increase perspectiveExpand PerceptionAllow you to change your realityThis week on the show I have Gary Brooking, Owner of the Wildfire Kitchen, Property Investor and Royal Navy Veteran.Gary recently left the Royal Navy with the aim of doing something completely different. He needed a break from Healthcare and wanted to grow and develop with some new challenges. His plan was to follow his passion for good food and love of the property market. He had a great summer with The Wildfire Kitchen last year at various events and learnt loads but, obviously, this year is very different.  He is having to reinvent the business, so has been learning about Website building and looking at a range of outdoor cooking equipment to allow people to be able to cook over live fire for themselves at home. But the cancer changed him. It awoke something that lay deep inside, that had been dormant for a long time. He has discovered that the Military sense of duty is a powerful bond so he has engaged with the Veteran Community and now actively supports a local Veteran’s Charity, the Armed Forces Community Hub.He has found his purpose again.A need to serve and help others. He has found that his mindset and outlook is helpful to others – that people need it in their life – now more than ever. So his focus now is to follow his passion with a sense of purpose. Rather than ‘just’ being a landlord with purely financial goals, he wants to create safe, positive and inspiring places for people to live. With The Wildfire Kitchen he want to share, inspire and connect with others over the love of good food and, overall, to help spread a little positivity around the world.Hopefully that will go some way to making a small difference. Gary, Welcome to the show. You can connect with Gary below: YoutubeYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO7hdKmAccznBVD4cqhHy7QWebsite:www.thewildfirekitchen.co.ukFacebook:Personal:...
