Gary Crosby Talks ... Jazz, Nu Civilisation Orchestra and the power of music

Gary Crosby OBE is the founder and Artistic Director of Nu Civilisation Orchestra (NCO) and Tomorrow’s Warriors, whose multi award-winning alumna and tenor saxophonist Nubya Garcia will perform alongside the orchestra for an exploration of Stan Getz’s ‘Focus’. Marking over 60 years of the seminal jazz masterpiece from a true great, ‘Focus’ taking place at the Royal Festival Hall, at the Southbank Centre on 15th September.More recently, Gary and NCO performed a tribute to Bob Marley's critically acclaimed album 'Catch a Fire' with the Jazz Jamaica All Stars featuring the legendary reggae vocalist Brinsley Forde from Aswad.Listen as Gary speaks on how he got into jazz from his formative years in Jamaica ...
