Gary Fowler and Chaitanya Sinh: The Next Generation of Logistics in India

In this Silicon Valley Tech & AI episode presented by GSD Venture Studios Gary Fowler interviews Chaitanya Sinh. Chaitanya is CEO & Founder of Bombax Logistics. He worked as an Equity trader (primarily GDR arbitrage) for companies like Nomura / Bear Stearns / Peregrine etc. for a few years before venturing out on his own. In 2004 he set up A La Concierge Services Pvt. Ltd. - a hugely successful support-services company that provides concierge and value-added services to the top companies in India. In 2012 he set up a JV with a Hong Kong based company called ValuAccess Asia – the leading stored value Giftcard provider in India. He successfully exited that business when Givex bought out the entire company in 2017. In 2017 – Chait co-founded Bombax Logistics to address the gap in the $250 billion Indian logistic sector which is highly fragmented and inefficient. Bombax has been built to service businesses and consumers in every corner of India that require Delivery + Pick up Services with transparent pricing. Bombax’s physical supply side network connect smaller airports with rural distribution hubs so as to be able to provide flexible and reliable services to the underserved 1.2 billion consumers and over 65 million small businesses eager to serve them via its digital platform. He is keen to build Bombax into a dominant logistics company in India! Chait was also the Captain of the Indian Rugby Team from 1999 – 2004 and led his country to numerous honors on the Asian circuit. He retired from Captaincy in 2004. He is passionate about building winning teams!
