Gaslighting in Family Court: How They Make YOU Look Like the Problem
from Family Court Mastery with Jason Appleyard (England&Wales) · host the_Applewotzit
Gaslighting can make an innocent person look like the problem—especially in Family Court. It does not always involve an obvious lie. It can be a slow psychological process: denying what happened, rewriting the past, provoking an emotional reaction and then presenting that reaction as “proof” that you are unstable, aggressive or unreasonable. In this video, I explain: • How gaslighting works psychologically • The signs of gaslighting and emotional abuse • How it can appear in Family Court proceedings • Why trying to disprove every lie can damage your credibility • How to document the pattern without sounding hostile or obsessive • How to communicate calmly with Cafcass and the court The answer is not to shout louder. It is to become calm, boring and predictable. Record the facts. Preserve the evidence. Control the reaction. Stop chasing every accusation and make it easier for Cafcass and the court to recognise the pattern for themselves. I’m Jason Appleyard from Family Court Mastery. I have spent 15 years supporting people through the Family Court and have been involved in more than 10,000 cases. If someone is rewriting reality, provoking reactions or making you question your own judgment, this video will help you recognise what is happening—and respond strategically.
