Gators Add Power Hitter Drew Dickerson | Florida Gator Basketball News

Florida Gators baseball just added a power-hitting transfer in Drew Dickerson, a two-year Oklahoma standout with three years of eligibility left, coming in as the eighth transfer for the 2027 season. Primarily a designated hitter at OU, Dickerson hit his stride as a freshman and brings right field experience. He chose Florida for personal reasons — and because assistant coach Todd Butler, who coached him at Oklahoma, is now on staff. With seven other transfers already in the mix, including pitchers and infielders, the Gators are building depth and depth, with some expected to start immediately. Meanwhile, the team awaits MLB Draft decisions from a few players — the portal’s closed, but the draft deadline looms, and some players still have time to decide between pro ball and college.
