Gavin Grey: Europe correspondent on British troops aid operation in Gaza and the uprooting of thousands of apple trees by UK's largest cider maker

British troops could be deployed on the ground in Gaza to help deliver aid via a new sea route. The US has said no American forces would go ashore from a floating pontoon – a “third party” will drive trucks along a causeway onto the beach.
