Gavin Williams Dominates with Near-Perfect Game | Cleveland Guardians News

Gavin Williams dazzled on the mound, tossing five two-thirds scoreless innings with ten strikeouts and nearly throwing a perfect game—broken only by a bloop single in the sixth. The Guardians’ offense supported him with a five-nothing win: Patrick Bailey launched a solo homer, Chase DeLauder drove in three runs, and Kyle Manzardo added an RBI single. A tense moment arose when Tim Tawa attempted a bunt in the sixth, sparking some clubhouse tension. A weather delay of over an hour also halted the momentum, but the Guardians still pulled off the victory, cementing Williams as a rising star in the league.
