Gavin Williams Throws Immaculate Inning | Cleveland Guardians News

Gavin Williams just dropped a historic performance for the Cleveland Guardians, throwing an immaculate inning—striking out three batters on just nine pitches—marking the first time a Guardians pitcher has done it since 2022 and joining elite company like Carrasco and Plesac. He followed it up with seven scoreless innings, 11 strikeouts, and just a couple hits allowed, proving why he’s now the team’s go-to arm. Though he didn’t get the win (the game went to extra innings), his outing was a massive bounce-back after recent struggles and a statement piece as the Guardians race for a playoff spot. With MLB’s second-highest strikeout total and third-best ERA on his team, Williams is heating up at the perfect time.
