Gay8 Festival Organizers Joe Cardona & Damian Pardo - 01/10/16 - Ep. 109

The Gay8 Festival is happening on Sunday, January 17th from 11am-8pm on Calle Ocho between SW 14th & 17th Avenue. It's an all ages and open to all people event (not just those from the LGBT community) and will feature FREE live music from Palo! and Suenalo, Spam Allstars and Lucy Grau. Drinks will be available, as well as numerous vendors, free movies at the Tower Theater and tours of historic Little Havana. We also interviewed legendary investigative journalist Al Sunshine about the fight to protect the endangered Miami Tiger Beetle from extinction, and save its habitat in the Pine Rocklands from Walmart's plans to build a supercenter, as well as the county's plan to build a theme park.
