She never returned. Her body was found on a river bank a few days later. This crime occurred during the height of Dennis Rader’s reign as BTK. Terror of someone posing as The Poet & a couple of years later a man would attempt to abduct multiple women from a grocery store in Wichita. One abduction ended in murder.
