Gaz Coombes (2023)

Gaz Coombes is an English musician, singer and songwriter who first rose to fame as the frontman for alternative rock band Supergrass, whose debut album 'I Should Coco' (1995) made a lot of heads turn, particularly because fo the hit single 'Alright'. After his departure from Supergrass in 2010 Gaz found himself still writing songs for what eventually would be his succesful solo career. 'Turn The Car Around' (2023) is his most recent endeavour, having released three solo albums previously, and we spoke with Coombes about the album, the freedom to explore ideas, writing for Supergrass and the Supergrass reunion, the themes on the new album, the magic of playing live, feeling thankful, and a lot more! Interview by: Robin HignellSupport the showThank you for listening!
