Am 6. November 2019 hat der Kanton Uri ein Zeichen für die Opfer von Fürsorgerischen Zwangsmassnahmen gesetzt, also für alle Verdingkinder, Zwangssterilisierten, Zwangsadoptierte und weitere. Regierungsrätin Barbara Bär hat sich offiziell bei den Opfern entschuldigt. Politcast Uri war am Gedenkanlass dabei und hat die neue Gedenkstätte in Erstfeld besucht.
