Dave Stevens is a legend in the comic book world. Beyond creating 'The Rocketeer', Stevens set a high mark for creator owned properties, both in terms of ideas and execution. Stevens always demanded perfection from his work and this demand often bled into his relationships with others. Now, a documentary called 'Dave Stevens: Drawn To Perfection' is being released, documenting the ins and outs of Stevens' short but extraordinary career and its influences on the industry. I sit down with documentarians Kelvin Mao and Robert Chatlin to talk about making the film, the things they learned about Stevens' life and work and about the legacy of The Rocketeer.
