A motive is something that causes a person to act. Motive implies an emotion or desire operating on the will and making a choice. Motive requires impulse & suggests a driving power arising from personal temperament or cultural inducement. This suggests that a motive is prompted by deliberate enticements or allurements of another. This is a public episode.
