Genao Called Up, Arias DFA'd | Cleveland Guardians News

Guardians are calling up top prospect Angel Genao after a scorching hot streak, including two homers in Syracuse — a move that signals a serious playoff push. With a .300 average and 13 homers across AA and AAA, Genao’s versatility at short, third, and second base makes him perfect for a contending team, especially with Jose Ramirez sidelined by hand soreness. The likely casualty? Gabriel Arias, who struggled recently and has no more options left. This promotion also marks Genao as Cleveland’s 10th rookie this season — proof of the organization’s depth and future potential.
