For our first episode in our International Women's Day series on the theme #choosetochallenge, we discuss the importance of embedding gender equality in our schools and our education system and ideas for how to achieve this. Our discussion focused on three key ideas: Introducing gender equality into the curriculum implicitly by addressing the gender data gap; To explicitly challenge gender inequality and everyday sexism, and to embed specific/explicit gender equality education into the curriculum with the aim to stop making feminism a ‘dirty’ word.
