GENDER EQUALITY INCLUDING THE TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY, PT 1 OF 2

We cannot move forward on gender equality without including members of the transgender community. Jayleen Chun, founder of IMPACT, a new organization that supports young transgender members, shares on some of the challenges including gender inequality, that young and all members of the transgender community face in todays society including our very own community. As an educator, Jayleen aspires to promote our Samoan language to include terms and language that enables our community to identify with and recognize transgender members with their own gender identity.
