Gender Identity in the Era of Peace

This week we begin Part 2: Gender Identity, Gender Roles, Family, Parenting, & Children. The question for today is: "What is unfolding with gender identities and sexual orientation? How can we understand, guide, and support our children with all they are faced with?" I remember a few years ago, I was out walking with a friend. Her 12-year-old daughter had had told her there were 19 specified gender identities. Now my great niece and nephew, ages 12 and 10 respectively, talk to me about their questions of gender identity and sexual orientation. I ask them what it means to them, wanting to understand where their questions come from. I'm not sure to what extent they understand sex and relationships at their age, but who to be and who to love are prominent questions. I admit, I still do not know the 19 designations, or even how many there are today. But the question of how to help and guide the children through the questions of their own identities and roles is one that has remained in my heart. I imagine that is what brought through the questions in this section, and I'm so grateful for what I learned from this download. As we transition into an Era of Peace, everything is changing. If we want to transition peacefully, we need to let go of old ideas, judgments, and wounds of the past. The future is Unconditional Love.
