Gender issues in Ukrainian media [about gender and more]

Women make up more than half - 54% - of the population of Ukraine. But you can never guess it from the local news because women appear in the media agenda on average four times less than men and five times less they are asked to give their expert opinion or simply comment on the news. It is no secret that the media can both hinder and accelerate structural changes aimed at achieving gender equality. Therefore, inequality in society is similarly reproduced in the media.
