Gene moved to Austin at the age of ten and never left. He began his career in real estate after he and his wife and purchased their first home together. After that first transaction, Gene realized that he had a passion for real estate, and most notably, negotiating.

Seven years after becoming a Texas REALTOR®, Genbe had the honor of launching and becoming part owner in the Lake Travis Market Center of Keller Williams Realty. They grew that office from a team of 5 to over 300 agents and growing. Gene then used that experience to hand-pick a select group of people to start the Gene Arant Team.

I've been podcasting for about 10 years, and this show has evolved as I've evolved.Over the years, I've talked mostly about business building and marketing—and I still will. But life isn't all about work, is it?Here's what I believe: life's too short to be miserable. Work and life aren't separate things—they're woven together. How my husband and I travel for weeks at a time in our converted ambulance, Clifford, working and adventuring as we go. How I'm building a weaving business alongside my marketing work. How all of these pieces fit together. This isn't a show about one thing. It's about what it looks like when you refuse to separate work fro
