I had a great conversation with Gene Reid, the author of "Police Leadership Redefined, The EQ Advantage, Transforming Law Enforcement with Emotional Intelligence" Gene does an amazing job of first, defining what emotional intelligence is, and then more importantly how we develop and nurture those skill sets. We discussed the four pillars of EQ:  Self -Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, and Relationship Management and how we apply each in our data to day lives. I really enjoyed the book and the examples used to illustrate and emphasize  points and situational dynamics.
