Generation of Resistance Episode 1’s Intro | နယ်နိမိတ်မျဉ်းကိုမဖြတ်ကျော်ခဲ့ကြသူများ Podcast နောက်ကွယ်ကစိတ်ကူးစိတ်သန်းများ

Since before the recent 2021 coup, starting in 2017, I have lived within both Muslim and Rakhine communities in the Northern Rakhine State. I was involved in the humanitarian relief work. Today, I will be sharing an audio narration named "People who did not cross the territorial boundary".  Through this podcast, you will hear about the stories of people who did not cross the borderline and were left behind.  I took a trip of my own across the border because I was curious about the horrifying experiences people had during their journey across the border. The details in the story I am about to tell are from my own experiences I gained by taking personal risks. I only have one wish. That is to create a beautiful society where people value diversity and work together to bring peace. With this wish in mind, I made this podcast and named it "People who didn't cross the territorial boundary". In Rakhine State, where there are magnificent mountains, streams and the lives of local people, there are also diverse traditions and customs, clothing, food, and languages. I believe that there is some beauty within those diversities. This place has witnessed a lot of problems mostly brought on by intolerance between people, therefore I often wonder how I can present and make everyone aware of its diversity and beauty. The problems are also due to the failure of the government to intervene and manage the situation. The main reason why I started creating this audio narration is that diversity is the most beautiful and humanistic aspect of society and I believe that this is a way to share my experiences. I want to start by asking, "Do we not need to have an understanding of people in order to solve the problems?" I firmly believe that the only way we can effectively address various issues on the ground is if we comprehend individuals and their circumstances. I first would like to talk about the Rohingya community. The Rohingya have resided in Myanmar for more than one generation, despite the fact that the majority of people think and accept them to be immigrants from other countries or people who entered the country illegally. A belief does not have to do with a person's race. People are equal as humans from birth. Nobody's beliefs were a factor in their birth. Doesn't the government provide protection to anyone using their passports to enter the country? It must respect their culture, doesn't it? In the following weeks, I will talk about the people who risked their lives to cross the border. I hope you look forward to it.
