Generous: Generous People

Jesus said the two most important commandments in the Scriptures are to “love God” and “love people,” but one of the hardest ways to express love to God and others is through tangible acts of generosity. For a boatload of different reasons most people – especially middle class Americans – struggle with being generous consistently. Never fear – Second Corinthians 8 & 9 give us some practical examples of generosity that we can imitate. These teaching are helpful for the soured skeptic and the mature Christian who struggles with non-December selfishness, pick-pocketing televangelists, and cheerful giving.
