Genesis 19-21

In Genesis 19 through 21, you and I will witness a narrative of divine judgment, mercy, and promise. Chapter 19 details the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, showcasing God's wrath against sin and His mercy in saving Lot and his family. As we move to Chapter 20, we will see Abraham's fear leading him to deceive Abimelech about Sarah, his wife. God intervenes to protect Sarah and heal Abimelech's household despite Abraham's shortcomings. Chapter 21 brings joy with the birth of Isaac, fulfilling God's promise to Abraham and Sarah, but also sorrow with Hagar and Ishmael's expulsion. These chapters reveal a complex interplay of human weakness and divine faithfulness.
