Genesis Chapter 27 - A Deceiver Prevails
from Exploring the Bible with Scott & Ken Hosted by Scott Allen
Scott Allen leads this study, focused on Genesis 27:18-33, which completes the first chapter of the stories of Jacob and Esau. While it may seem strange that God would reward a trickster like Jacob, a deeper view reveals it was Isaac and Esau who were in rebellion against God's prior decision to extend His blessing to the world through Jacob's descendants, the future Israelites. This lesson encourages us that nothing, not even our own sinful choices, can thwart God's plans and God's calling.
