Send us Fan MailI grew up believing that real Christians must believe that the world is only roughly 6,000 years old, and it was created in six-twenty-four-hour periods.  However, I have since discovered two things. First, I discovered that my questions about the earth's age seemed to be more important to me than they were to the author of Genesis. In other words, Genesis doesn't seem to be interested in giving answers to the questions I was asking. I will write more about this in the days to come. Secondly, I have discovered that many committed and well-educated Christians believe the world to be billions of years old!  Even C.S. Lewis seemed to believe that some form of evolution was reality. If you are like me, you find it hard to decipher a truth, a lie, or an irrelevant issue concerning Genesis, science, and interpretation. Or Genesis, Geology, and Theology. But be of good cheer; there is a way through the fog and a glorious sunrise on the other side. Today, we will continue our journey to understand the book of Genesis in its fullness and own right.
