Genevieve Day - Founder & Director, Day Management

from Beauty Island · host Brittany Stewart

Ever wondered what influencers really earn? Hello and welcome to Beauty Island, the beauty podcast that celebrates life and lipstick. I'm your host, beauty journalist, Brittany Stewart, and each episode I sit down with a guest to ask them about the 8 beauty products that have a special memory or meaning for them, that they'd take to a desert island, or Beauty Island, that I am sending them off too. Maybe it's the product that reminds them of their mum, the beauty product that defined their teens or the perfume that instantly sparks a memory of a special place or person. Along the way we find out more about their life, career and the people and events that have shaped them into who they are today. Today my guest is Genevieve Day, founder of influencer management agency, Day Management. After a successful career in PR, Genevieve was just 24 when she spotted a gap in the market and went out on her own to launch her own business. Now, Day Management reps some of Australia's top influencer talent, and is the first in Australia to launch a podcast arm. Genevieve is one of the most go-getting and driven people I've ever met. And if you're interested or curious about influencer culture, she is upfront and honest in her answers to all the questions you've secretly wondered but haven't wanted to ask. I went to Day Management's offices in Melbourne to chat to Gen about how much influencers can really earn, how the landscape has changed since she launched Day Management and what the future may look like, and the $19 black eyeliner that will give you flawless wings. She also shares a really beautiful and poignant personal story that reminds us why beauty is about so much more than just products. If you enjoy this episode, please subscribe to the podcast if you're not already, rate five stars and if you have a spare 30 seconds, write a review! It means the world when I read your lovely comments about why you love listening to Beauty Island and helps other people find the podcast. Now, over to Gen. Enjoy.
