GENRE MEDIA AND HOW IT HAS SHAPED OUR CONCEPTS OF FREEDOM

The concepts of freedom and who is entitled to it has morphed and changed over the centuries. In the U.S. in particular civil rights, women's rights, human rights have all taken their place on the political and social stage. How much of how we perceive freedom is affected by what we have come in contact with in genre media and how much of our genre media is affected by our socio-political concepts of freedom?
