A partir de un gesto mínimo —sentarse uno al lado del otro en el patio— nace una amistad breve, delicada y muy profunda, marcada por la poesía, la observación del mundo y la sensación de estar un poco al margen de todo. Lía Fonseca aparece como una figura casi lunar: reservada, extraña, luminosa y difícil de olvidar. Su presencia no se construye con grandes acciones, sino con detalles muy precisos —los ojos grises, las pecas, el cuaderno, la manera de apartarse el pelo— que la vuelven muy real y, al mismo tiempo, misteriosa. El narrador también vive en esa periferia emocional. No es popular, no destaca, no encuentra su lugar en los juegos del patio, pero sí en la mirada interior, en la imaginación y en esa conexión rara y exacta con alguien que por fin lo llama por su nombre.
