Challenges Technology 57% use screens over 4 hours or more a day on average 60% affirm this is too much Only ~12% are actually doing anything about this Success/Perfection driven 43% believe happiness is connected to financial security Inclusivity and individualism 1/3 believe gender is how someone feels on the inside, not connected to their birth sex. 2 in 5 Gen Z’ers interact with people that are different than them, compared to just a quarter of Boomers. Safety and Security They want to be and belong to safe spaces that accept others and themselves. Real safety is a myth. They may not remember 9/11, but were born into war and global disruption. Family life Only 1/3 of Gen Z believes their family plays a role in their identity formation. Gen Z sees their parents as double-minded. They see their parents as either “helicopter parents” or completely hands-off.
