George Floyd 2 Years On: What Has Changed?

from Quietly Visible · host Carol Stewart

It is two years since the murder of George Floyd, which highlighted systemic, racist structures across the globe. Since then, what (if anything) has changed? There was an initial flurry of activity, with many organisations blacking out their social media profiles in support and developing initiatives to bring about change and create anti-racist, inclusive cultures. But what, if anything, has changed? This episode is a recording of a LinkedIn Audio event where I had a discussion with some movers and shakers in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion, where we examined whether we are seeing sustainable, systemic change, or whether organisations were just paying it lip service. This esteemed panel explored: What has changed What more needs to be done individually, collectively, and at the organisational level Allyship What good practice looks like regarding equity, diversity, and inclusion There was also an opportunity for the audience to have their say and ask questions.
