George Scarbrough (Feat. Nathaniel Perry)

Pod pod pod pod pod! This one we're getting INTENSIVE and focusing on one of the great and greatly neglected poets of the 20th century, George Scarbrough. We were joined by the incredible Virginian poet and absolute Scarbrough-head, Nathaniel Perry for this one and got into some real heady stuff. Cultural neglect, isolation and it's purposes, the south and sexuality, language and the body that is defined by it. All of that and more exists within the quirky purview of the wonderfully idiosyncratic Scarbrough and we do our best to talk about it and even read a little poetry for you.
