Georgetown Professor Brown crazy comments about Iran’s Rape-Gangs

from The Charlie James Show Podcast

Georgetown University Professor Jonathan A.C. Brown drew significant criticism on The Charlie James Show for dismissing concerns regarding Muslim "rape gangs" in the United Kingdom by responding "get over it" to social media posts linking Islam to mass sexual exploitation cases [wjla.com, nationaltoday.com, x.com]. Critics accused Brown of minimizing the suffering of victims to defend an ideological position, adding to a history of controversial remarks that previously led to him being placed on leave in 2025 following comments about Iran and U.S. military bases [foxnews.com, insidehighered.com, x.com].

00:00 Tomorrow is the day in my hometown of Augusta, Georgia. The Masters Golf Tournament takes place, starts tomorrow morning. They had the par three tournament today. I don't know who won that, but that's always a grand thing to go to. And I got to be honest with you, a lot of people want to go to Augusta. I understand that it's a magical place. It's wonderful to go to and to watch or to look at. All right. 00:29 If you're going there to watch a golf tournament, the best place that you can watch a golf tournament is in your own home, especially that one. That is, it's impossible. Impossible. There's so many people at that golf course um that it's hard to see anything. So I've learned throughout the years that if you want to watch the golf tournament, if you get a chance to go to Augusta Go, go to a practice round, 00:58 much more enjoyable than the actual tournament. Go to a practice round, get all your little swag from the gift shops, ah and then go home and watch it on television. That really is the best way. There's only one golf tournament that I really enjoyed going to, and that was the Heritage down in Hilton Head. That's always a lot of fun. So, all right, so there you go. So that's the golf. Could you imagine if somebody was talking about rape gangs? 01:27 Islamic Rape Gang. 01:31 What do you think an appropriate response to that would be? If somebody said, you know these Islamic rape gangs over in England, they're horrible, aren't they? Wouldn't you think the appropriate response would be something like, yes, I agree, they're horrible, rape gangs of any type. 01:52 Would an appropriate response be, you need to get over it, get over it? Well, that was the exact response of a Georgetown University professor telling people with concerns about Muslim rape gangs to get over it. This is from Liberty Daily, Professor Jonathan A.C. Brown, chair of Islamic Civilization at Georgetown, posted that remark twice. 02:22 On X was in response to users talking about a link between Islam and the escalating crisis of rape gangs in the United Kingdom. Now he's since deleted that post, but thankfully the internet is forever. One post by the independent member of parliament, Rupert Lowe, who by the way has got a great party going on over in the UK, he said, there's a link between the rape gangs in one particular religion. We've seen it again and again and again. 02:51 At our inquiry, the religion is Islam. As a country, we must have the courage to face up to that fact, to which 03:03 The professor at Georgetown responded, get over it, get over it. 03:09 When another user said Brown's comment was absurdly evil, the professor repeated the remark, get over it. 03:18 There is something absurdly evil about saying get over it in context with rape, with gang rape, torture and murder for religious reasons. Get over it. 03:28 That's what Jonathan Brown, professor at said. How about that? I wonder if Georgetown goes along with these comments. A Georgetown student spoke to the Daily Caller um and he called on professor to be removed from the university saying Brown is fundamentally at odds with Georgetown's core values. I would love to know what Georgetown's core values are. 03:56 Yeah, hang on. So that's what you got. I mean, this is the same guy who back in June called for Iran to do a symbolic strike on the US. 04:08 He said, I'm not an expert, but I'd assume Iran could still get a bomb easily. I hope Iran does the same symbolic strike on a base that everybody stops. That's what he wanted. This guy that justifies rape and horrific events in the name of Islam and wants the United States to be bombed by Iran. 04:31 The weird thing is I really do feel like he does represent Georgetown's core values. So over in England, do they have rape gangs? Absolutely they are. Grooming gangs, but it goes worse than that because now the government wants to protect them. Listen to this. 05:01 who groomed and sexually abused fiv ...
