Georgia Man Convicted of Manslaughter
from Between The Lines · host Between The Lines
The guys are back to discuss the case of Marc Wilson, a Georgia man that was convicted of Manslaughter after an altercation between himself and the drivers of a pickup truck that resulted in the death of a `17 year old girl who was a passenger in the truck driven by an 18 year old male. Mr. Wilson has claimed in his defense that he was using Georgia's "Stand Your Ground" laws to defend himself from racial slurs and alleged attempts to run him off of the road. Several details in this case do not hold up, including that the teen drivers of the pickup were under the influence of alcohol but were never charged, as well as the fact that Mr. Wilson's girlfriend testified that she wasn't sure if racial slurs were used and could not definitively say that they were at risk of being "run off the road". The guys examine the details as reported by several outlets and try and make sense of what actually happened.
