Georgia Misses Out on Top LB Target

Georgia Bulldogs miss out on top-rated 2026 linebacker Sean Fox, a six-foot-five, 225-pound talent ranked among the nation’s best, who instead chose Kentucky over Clemson and Notre Dame. The Wildcats’ defense just got a major upgrade with Fox, their highest-rated defensive commit and a top-150 national recruit, while Georgia—still ranked seventh in the SEC and top 15 nationally—feels the sting of losing a player they desperately needed. With strong depth elsewhere, Georgia isn’t sunk, but this loss underscores how fiercely competitive recruiting has become, and how rare it is to land elite talent like Fox.
