Gertrude and the New Sheriff

As the Host merrily trills a happy springtime tune, Gertrude enters the studio with an update on the newly official interim Sheriff, Phineas “Phinn” Sullivan, aka Farmer Sullivan. Mrs. Wimberly is already trying her best to enlist him for support with her various complaints, but Phinn is not a particular fan of Mrs. W’s specialty, pies. With a new cooking show possibly on the horizon, the Host has baked some hard-to-swallow test cookies, and Mrs. W offers to step in and take over the show. Hartford Goodspring — or whatever his name is, calls in to get in on Mrs. Pleckspeckle’s pinochle tournament. He also has news about his new project that has Gertrude thrilled to bits.
