And we are alive. We are alive. So if people a few times to stand somebody else don't feel down. Who was that?
Call Anderson. Why is he playing? Because he planned to do it. He was five or five last game.
They say he'll get more minutes and take a minute away from the big man. She definitely got to go bare about it. Yeah. Call Anderson has actually played really, really good.
The series. I think you like five or five for. Well, I guess he's slow enough for for Luca. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But he everything like 10 points a game.
He's actually like consistent. We can can't dumb it. You know, he looked like he ready to go home. It looked like he just he just ready to go.
Whatever everybody. We just getting situated. I like the little mirror and you're ready to watch the the world's goals go to season in tonight. Was even doing the same shit.
I don't know them champions. People talk about. So then the championship walking to the champion like man, go bareplay for this team. And can't get that was.
Oh, that was a bad call. Oh, who was that? Oh, Josh, there they go. Oh, this is pressure.
That is there goes that man. I love Nas Reed. Nas Reed is amazing. Anyway, all right.
Yeah, we'll be waiting on Q'll be joining us, but we're going to go ahead and start the show. Wait, hold on. We got the game. Well, because you know, probably the last time watching at play the season.
So can't get away. Boy, you like came down here. You know, it's like, let's knock down. No hope we got that.
Isn't it? Yeah, well, we'll start when it's called over. And he's the first one. They're stealing it.
Yeah. Yeah, I turned it on early. So this is starting eight 30. He was all talking and stuff like that.
I'm like, what are you going to waste a much time? I don't know. If people don't come, I don't know why they'd be acting like people come to see the pregame post game shit. Especially not ESPN.
Like nobody cares with nobody on that panel. Got to say. Yeah, they'll be able to get my kids. I have not seen one of them yet.
Nobody cares. Is that the Steven nice to move on that one? Steven nice to move on. I believe Andrew.
That's why I do it. Yeah. I was with on with his identity. Okay.
Okay. That's what was on there. Oh, yeah. It was Kenny Smith and all of them.
You're inside. He joins. He joins. He's got a great old man.
Gotcha. Gotcha. Oh, Kyrie. I'm coming to Lisk and I'm going to warn down.
He's been going to work on him. You're going to need him to miss the shots. You get crunk up in a little bit. Yeah.
My point lead to that was a nothing. Oh, you got checked out the all cast they were doing for Western Conference with Bonane, Chris Haynes and this quarter. I haven't got to see it yet, but I heard Bo Monty talking about it. Which is it?
You ain't going to be watching that. Okay. All right. Check it out.
I was going to try to check it out. I thought this was going to be the last game. I don't think this is the last game. It's all about finishing quarters.
There's been an issue for the Timberwolves. And once again, really an unnecessary turnover by Ant Edwards, which, you know, is like, I don't know what are you doing. So a chance at least go on me. Even if you take the shot 29 18, you know, but you don't at least get one two points.
Anyway, this quarter is over. All right. This is the place where sports be in. It's a lot dead in sports.
I'm a host. Can you be in? Join me on the show. We got Spike.
What up, Bill? We got Sheldon? What's happening? And Nick, what's going on?
Q will be joining us. Sent him to link as Anthony Edwards is hot at himself for stupid ass turnover. You know, one thing about Ant, man, I didn't get a chance to see his post game. I'm going to have to follow down hole three.
But he is a guy that he does not lack confidence, bro. He believes in himself and he teaming on. I'll give him that. And it doesn't feel like it's false bravado either.
It does. If you like, you believe it for real, like you said. That's one of the things that made me rule for him. Yeah.
So it's too, too. Yeah. Faith don't get you so far. I would say I need you.
One of two points. So yeah, we're going to start there though. We're going to start with this series that's actually on right now. The Dallas Mavericks are up three.
Oh, against the Minnesota, Minnesota, the timber was with came for of course taking place right now. Do we need to have a conversation on Anthony Edwards? You know what? I'll get this one off.
No, man. I'll get this one off, man. No, do it, King. I got to, bro.
He had a young cat, young buck, you know, excited. You know, happy he beat the champs. Thought it was his championship title. Thought he had a ring after that one.
You know, they should have won that game. Yoke is going to do what he needs to do. And therefore here we are. But he made the silly mistake of calling out Kyrie Irving.
And the guy about that after the game, he said, yeah, I was in the home. I'm out of my business. You know, he didn't deal with my family. He called out.
He did. It's enough. He said he wanted to guard him. I'm guarding Kyrie.
That's enough call out. It was enough to get Kyrie like this. Kyrie's been playing well, but he's been passing. Kyrie's not going to show with purpose.
He put the moccasins on. It was open with. He was placing the moccas up. He got called out.
He laced it up. Yeah. Just say number one. You know, the moment is this is the big moment for them.
They've never been here. The mouths have been here. This is the second appearance. You know, very emotional series last one against the nuggets, you know, with a lot of roller coaster rides.
And the fact of the matter is Anthony was just showing up. We just going to just go right there, man. I mean, he has cost him two games in this series and you showing up and playing well in game three ain't enough. You know, but that game to turn over like that led to Lucas three.
That's an excuse, but you cannot do that. And then, and then their lack of execution in the fourth quarter, you can't like, you know, maybe we can give you that one, but I'm not even going to even that one. You shot like shit. So you shot like shit in game seven, your teammates bailed you out and you play in other areas to make up the difference.
And then in game one, you shot like shit. And then in game two, you make the cost and turn over the cost in the game that basically put the series away because you at home. Anthony Edwards simply has not shown up in the way that he was ascending to show up. Now he's playing well now, but can you finish the job?
Can you get this way? Can you get back home that at least give your fans a parting gift? But I and we don't know, but Anthony Edwards and Kat have both. I think I saw a stat that shooting 29% now we know we know Kat can't be all over the place.
Like he's he's a hell of an offensive web. He's the best offensive player they have because he's scored all three levels. But it was the clear alpha on that team and they go as he go and he is not with it. As a matter of fact, he's about to go home.
So yeah, he ain't ready yet. I disagree with that. He don't have the correct people with him to be ready yet. I think he knew that.
Can he at the level where he can perform if I had at least another killer with me. People keep comparing him to Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan has got he pippin when he got good when he wasn't good when he was doing the shit that is doing now he had Charles Oakley. He had things like that on his team that couldn't help him do what he needed to do.
And that's the same thing with Kat. Kat is a glorified seven foot claim to the best in whatever he does to the inside outside. You're right. He can score it all three levels, but he still ain't got the dog.
That's what Jimmy Bullock called him out for. That's what aunt can't call him out for because he's his current teammate and he don't know if they can move him. But if aunt has somebody else by his side, if he had any resemblance over Robin right now, it wouldn't be three. Like I know what you're saying.
He hasn't shot well. He hasn't played the best. But still I'm the best player. I got you out here.
Can't nobody help me out. He didn't get them there. No, they would be there. They got them there.
Can't get them there. They were done. Can't delete none of those wins. He lived in the outside.
Y'all be for real. Anthony Elwises is the reason that that team is where they are right now today. Yeah, but he didn't get them to this. Everybody talked about it.
They were saying how, man, and struggle, but he did everything else. Well, that's all we talked about. If you got to keep saying, but I know what's though. I know what's.
Y'all are not what he's shooting game seven. And they're like, how did they get to game seven? Let us all not supposed to be here. Everybody on this panel and the people in that video picked against them in the first couple of rounds, the only reason that they won is because of Anthony Elwises.
So yeah, what they do, Carl Anthony sounds like one good game, two good games. Y'all are right. Yes, maybe he did. But the reason that they end the position that they end is because of Anthony Elwises.
And the reason that they have three is because Kat, all the rest of these dudes ain't doing shit. He don't have a number two. I ain't going that far. I'm not going to push it all on everybody else.
You're what I'm saying. What's up, dude? Especially when, um, it's putting up the numbers, he's putting up in the fourth quarter and just games overall. Like, let's not speak for themselves.
But I do agree with you, Lou, that's what I mean. It is the reason why they're here holistically. They wouldn't have gotten this far without him and his leadership. But he's still young as shit.
I don't mind the, I mean, we're the ones doing the comparisons. What are we talking about? Do we need to have a conversation on them? Yeah, we need to have a conversation on them.
I don't think we necessarily need to buy him being in the Western Conference Finals. I mean, like, what kind of conversation I really have? I'll comment on you. Yeah.
Yeah. But I do see that, like, as much as I want him to represent the Western Finals, it's not looking like it is because he just don't know what to do, what you need to do it. Well, he's a baby. I mean, we've been saying for, well, I don't know really what a lot of people are going to do.
I mean, I don't know really what a lot of y'all have thought about and beyond the fact that he has pretty good poster dunks and, you know, just highlights from here and there. But if you recall, every time you all have asked me about being in the face of the NBA, I'm like, no, that's not the approach the NBA wants to do. He can't be the face of the NBA because they need too many markets to come up. There's too many talented players across the league.
And this actually factors into the reason why the Jordan comparison has never made sense. Anthony Edwards doesn't play like Michael Jordan. He doesn't, his game doesn't resemble Michael Jordan. It never resembled Kobe Bryant.
And they kept putting him in these conversations because they're trying to, you know, people to fight is what it is. Is that, oh, we have Luke and Kyrie versus the potential next MJ. And it's like, y'all just saw a dark skin dude who could dunk and said, oh shit, he's basically the lead. And it's like, no, he's an amazing player.
He's going to be top three once he gets his bumps and bruises, but he's a baby, bro. He's a child in the NBA. He's 22 years old. Only other player who's been this far averaging what he's done is, I believe Kobe Bryant.
And I think Kobe and Brian, I think. Yeah, I mean, Kobe, but I don't think LeBron got this far in the playoffs at 22 years old. I don't know. He's not in the finals with the, what's he 21 or 22?
I'm pretty sure. He's probably in there, but let's just say for a second argument. Okay, the arguable goat of the sport. And then a lot of people 22 Q.
I was 22. I was like, cool. Yeah. It's crazy.
The brand James is the arguable goat of the sport who made it to the finals at 22. And then Kobe Bryant, who had Phil Jackson and Shaq, you know what I'm saying? So it's like, these are very like harsh measurements to like live up to. So, and it's going to get there.
He's going to be there, but dude, the time in which you come into your NBA body and you come into your IQ and your movement on the court being as fluid as it's going to be is normally not until 27, 26. And that's the prime of a player is like 25 to like 31 if you're an amazing player. And if you can extend it even further, you're seeing that with guys like LeBron and what Tim Duncan did. But those are pantheon guys.
So we needed to temper these expectations and the wolves do need a number two because Carl Anthony Tennels has been this guy. Like we've been saying that Carl Anthony Tennels has the ability to be good. He has every tool that you need, but in terms of like the crunch time moments, man, I don't see that for him. I'm not saying he's trash.
I'm not saying he can't go somewhere else, but if you want the second guy on your team to be someone that you can count on, you don't put cat in that list of guys that you know that you can count on. He's not on that list. He's like, oh, he surprised me. Anytime cat does something good, don't lie yourself.
You look at the show like, man, Cas playing good. You're not like, yeah, that's what Cas was supposed to do. Right. I want you to keep your heads up on God damn floor.
He's right there. I want you to keep your heads up on God damn floor. He's right there. I want you to keep your heads up.
It's game four. Down three. Down three. I agree with you.
I want you to hold on to keep on holding on. I want you to hold on to the thing though is it's going to get back here. It's going to be super tough. No matter how much you get it.
You're in a game. You already know. You already know. It ain't always addition my satisfaction.
As people have been saying throughout the media, this team was built to beat Denver. Okay, cool. We beat Denver. Now we've got two Western Conference Finals, Randy to two guards, Kyrie and Lukeo who we cannot stop.
Now we need to adjust our team to be able to compete with them as well. And then they come back and be like, right. Yeah, you adjust to this and then you can't beat that. If I'm in the soda, I'm no longer scared of Denver.
You should be. You should be. Why? Because you go once.
I mean, yeah, yeah. I believe in that series, I have the best player. I didn't believe that going into this series right now. But now since I beat him with an Edwards, I believe that an Edwards is going to be a better player than Gilkits is.
That's what I can say. I can't say. Not next year. Y'all are saying to the fans, why would I think that if I'm in the soda though, we beat them last year?
All I need to do is to see the answer. It can happen. It can happen though. It's not.
You know it. Think about how it works with football. Same thing as back and forth. It's like that.
That's fair. Just because you beat a team in a series don't mean that you're a better team automatically. It's closer to this than they are to what played against Denver. If I go into the offseason and I lose this in a sweep or if I lose this even one game before, I'm still thinking, okay, what can I do to get better outside of Kat and still be able to beat Denver.
And then I'm like, I got the advantage skin against Denver because I got Ant Edwards. They don't have Ant Edwards. You don't know what's happening right now. You know the crazy thing, this Dallas team probably wouldn't beat Denver.
I don't know about this. I don't know about this. Dallas team is not. This is the one that like Harry and Lugo are playing right now.
Who can beat them? They are. This is just matchups. I'm going to come down to matchups.
That's what every playoff and every sport is about is do the gloves match up. You know what I mean? If you want to get it down to boxing analogy style, style is going to make the fights here. And Denver, they got taken all the way to the Raiders edge and Minnesota, in my opinion, they played above what they were building was.
And you have to be able to look at that from the standpoint that when you go into the offseason, you're going to build on what you've done against Denver, but the matchup against two dominant perimeter guys like Kyrie and Luca who were just so locked in, it was never really favoring Minnesota. Even though everyone was saying that, oh man, this should be a cakewalk from Minnesota. Dallas is too small. Once again, you're putting the onus on the front court.
When the fact is is that back court for back court and Jay McDaniel versus Luca and Kyrie. Come on, right? Like, it was never going to be a clean sweep. It was never going to be five games.
It was always going to be six or seven games. And Kyrie and Luca, they're just in that bag right now. So Minnesota, like to twice point, I agree. You have to look at the season as what odds did we have to win the finals before?
We weren't in like the top five teams being favored. We beat the champs and we can potentially get younger. We can potentially move some pieces around. We have inflated the value of every player on this team now.
Conley, Nas Reed, Kat, Go-Bam. Everyone's value has increased. So now you can just take calls and see, all right, do we need to get another guard next end? Do we need to get a more dynamic point guard?
Do we need a better small forward? We can get Kat out of here? Maybe go get the Rosen and Zach Levine? You have no idea, man.
There's so much that is on the line for Minnesota in the next couple of years. But right now is not that time. How much flexibility do they have though? Because they traded a lot of picks away to get Go-Bear.
They got it. I would tell him Kat is the number two. Why wouldn't team take him? He just don't work with him.
He's still good. No, no, they know what Kat is. It's his contract. And it's also like again, like we've seen Kat in Minnesota.
He was a number one overall pick too. We've seen Kat in Minnesota for that long and not really do shit with all those different teams. Remember he had Jimmy Butler in them. He's had a lot of different teammates.
It took him a whole other number one overall pick to get in. So it's just like I don't think who pairs well with Kat at the stage of this group. And then I think people look at Kat and they see what he can do inside, outside just like Ken said when we lay into the segment, he can score from all three levels. He's a seven feet tall.
And he's not going to give you a good matchup on other centers. People are going to take him. He just don't work with Anthony Edwards. It's not what Anthony Edwards needs in order to get to the next level.
That's all it is. I was going to say it's funny we say that he don't work with Anthony Edwards because of that combo. It's not. It is.
It's the twin times. They're here because of and Kat. No, they're here because of and not just and not single handedly. No, I ain't saying he said he said he did this, but he did most of the work.
I put Kat on my back and I put go bare on my back. I stepped up when they needed him to a time. I can't step up. I'm saying, if you look at what and I say it all the time about it, I say, it's going to be Kat at some point, but can is up here at times.
Kat does play like a great number two at some point, which is why I think they can get value for him. Like, y'all talking about, y'all talking about all time tools and you tell me he is so good. He is somebody like that. He's not that.
No, no, no, he's not. He's not that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. I'm going to leave is that you compare with him that work and be there.
And then you give up. What could you? If what's up? I mean, but there's a lot of places to go.
Like if you're Minnesota, if you're coaching staff says we just actually need more bench than you look at teams like Orlando, signing trades, you look at teams like the Knicks with signing trades, OJN and NOB is going to be up this year. Maybe you want to go get NNOB to put next to McDane, it was Annhoom. If you want more scoring, if you look at Chicago, like, hey, Levine, someone come back to Minnesota for a reunion, we need another 18 points per game. You know, like something like that, like Paul George, you call him any towns, go to the Clippers, we'll sign and trade for Paul.
Like there's a lot of options. I feel like there are out there because teams are going to want to play. I mean, players are going to want to play Minnesota now. And Chris Finch winning coach of the year, Anthony Edwards being, you know, everyone's like, he's going to be our new guy.
I think that people have gained more respect for go bare counterintuitive to what people think is the narrative. I think people have gained more respect for him as an anchor. No one says that to win defensive player of the year, you have to be this nimble Dennis Robin, Dremon Green type of guy. Like, that's unfair to guys who are more stationary.
Like we can't have a both ways. Do we want the big man to come back to the league or do we not? You know what I mean? Like, because guys in the 90s, like, go bare who were defensive styles.
Like, they are not going to be able to step out and guard, they're not going to be able to stay in front of Cladrexler. You know, why do we expect a classic defensive big like go bare to be able to, that's actually Jay McDaniel's fault for rejecting that that screen. As a matter of fact, they should have let Luke get right to the paint and try to funnel him and force up the contest to instead of letting them get confused at the top of the screen. So you have a lot to build on if you're in Minnesota, you're not looking at this, like, if we lose going out, they've got to lead in everything on one of these games.
And like, and not even just a lead, it was like the last two minutes, last four minutes, last five minutes. Like, it's like, you're like, this shouldn't be three. Oh, no. Right.
I think at worst, to one. But y'all know how sports go, man. Now you got to target on your back. So you're going to get teams best there for this point, whereas before you didn't get that.
So in saying that, I'm still not sure that we're going to get, and once again, I don't worry about it. I'm not really worried about it like that because I think it'll be fine. It's what you surround him with and to make it to make it be like, okay, we can just get back. We're not just going to get back there.
And once again, they're an arbitrage because they don't have no picks coming. They pretty much stuck with what they got unless somebody is willing to take a flyer and send them something back. They have solid stuff though. Like, all they need to do is get rid of cat.
No, they don't have to do that. That's year they're going to have way more experience than they have this year. Those two minutes. No, no, no, no, Spike.
This all came down to what they just spoke about. Late game, execution, and critical moments when they need to win the game. They don't have that experience next year. He's never going to be better in those situations.
Why not? Because he's just not that dude. Like he has the... He's never been the part.
He's a bad guy. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Who turned the ball over in game two to cost him a game?
What's the cat? It was. All right. That doesn't make cat the player that you needed to.
All I'm saying is he isn't the person who's going to. If we want to stop losing in the conference finals 4-0 or 4-1, we got to get rid of him. That needs to be a more responsible player. It has to be a more responsible player too.
Cats still make too many dumb mistakes and Ant can't afford that right now at this stage. It's career. You know, it's crazy. We're not even saying that about Go Bear.
The same thing he was talking about. We talked about the same thing about Go Bear and Utah. The playoffs. I said, yeah, but he's in the same thing.
He's in the same thing. He's in the same thing. He's doing the same thing. He got cooked a couple of times.
You're right. But still, I needed that anchor. Like somebody was just saying. He is still a good anchor.
We need him back there to play defense. He's not that person. And as soon as he's been able to realize that, that's when he'll get to the next level. He ain't got nothing to do with Anthony Elwiss.
He got everything to do with Cat. He's not that dude. Yeah, and like I said, I think that because of his up and down, I get that proper at the same time. He wouldn't be in a position without him.
I think by that. Yes, because he is talented. Y'all are right. Yes, you would be in a position without him.
But I'm saying there is a higher level that you can go to if you have somebody better than him. And you can use him as straight, but you get a better piece. I just don't know how you can do that. I don't know.
I mean, I heard you when you said Zach Vee, but I think I'm going to be like me. I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I'm going to get some really good options. I mean, Jamie I'm green once a contract. Jamie, if you want to talk about defense and bringing in like a defensive veteran, somebody who's going to further and teach them how to play the game the right way unlocks some things with him and dribble handoffs.
Like, Jamie I'm green once. I mean, what's, what's, yeah, he's putting some mind in face like that's what they need. Like somebody to really dig into them or they're in the playoffs. And I feel like, I told you guys, there's a whole bunch of guys out there.
You know, it's funny. And I forgot about that. I forgot about that. I was talking about that.
He was talking about, you know, Pat Bev effect was real. Like Pat kind of, was that leader in the like the bully that they needed on a court at time because they don't really have these guys kind of so I just want to understand y'all are saying that y'all would just re up after they get swept will beat for one. You guys just coming back with cat nicks. I think I run it back.
I think a couple of adjustments to the roster. I think they're close with this. Come on. They're going to be with something else.
Yeah, I agree with that. I agree with that. Just be, I give you a cue. But there's not a rule.
It's not a way. It's not a way. It's not a way. It makes sense to get to Western Carver's finals just to blow up the team.
If I say I blow up the team, I'm the owner. You can't have cat that's blown up the team. It's not. If I'm the owner, if I'm the owner of the Timo Wolves and Spike and Ken are like competing execs who are trying to make a case for you.
We got to move off towns or somebody's like, no towns. That's the reason why we got here. I would need Spike to show me the potential packages that we could get in return. But I'm saying right now, if I can replace cats defensive production with another big and then get a guy like a Levine in the same deal.
Like if I can get Caruso and Levine to come to Minnesota, I would probably deal cat tomorrow. But that's just because I think that his defense has declined and we actually need more offense in the playoffs because Go Bears actually the key to how the defense moves. It's the fact that you know that you got that seven two per region behind you is that you can slip up on defense and you can kind of take some plays off here and you got Jake McDaniel is the final people into. You can kind of shade on screens with those guys.
When I got cat, I have to account for the fact that he has to get his touches. He has to shoot his threes. But why am I going to pay a seven one guy that just keeps shooting threes if our ceiling has been shown to be maximizable and not just this year, but over the next two years. And to show this point, you have Denver, you have Dallas, which if they go in this run and they win the championship, they'll be the champs.
They're going to repeat. You know, so it's like, you know, it's like, you know, it's like, there's a whole bunch. Okay, see, still coming up, Shane, I'm going to just another year older, John's coming back. What does Memphis going to do?
Houston's working in the wings with a very potential young, young stud in Jalen Green. And it's like, you have all these different pieces. You have no idea what LeBron's going to do. Maybe LeBron wants to go play with and you have no idea.
But I have to see what the package is. What are they? Johnny James, you know, like we did different conversations here. All I'm saying is both can and spite could talk me into their decisions because I think both have merit.
There's no one clear decision here. It would just take something and I'm with you on it. It would just take something great because what what Kat brought with the side, even though he did play on the brim a lot of times, his size and his scoring prowess is kind of part of the reason why they're here. And it's tough to replace that.
You're not going to find too many seven footers that can step out and shoot it from that distance. And we can see we score 60 in the game this year. We see what he can do when he's cooking. So, you know, and there's times and we've seen it too and can get out there and get you 30.
Yes. And at times he gets you 16, 14. And those games is when you're going to need a player like that with that size and that ability to step up. I got some of these young guys, these guys, I don't trust them as much.
But we see what go there is I'm more critical to go bare anybody else. I saw for the first time in my life, I agree with Kenji Perfect. That's what I'm talking about. He said, I'm sorry.
I cast my vote for defense player. You ever really go bare. I was wrong. I want to take it back.
He was like, he dog go bare. I say, and I agree with him. I was like, man, I don't know how he could have got it. And I see him in the playoffs.
He's he's okay. He's fake. We see it. Then nobody's afraid to go bare in the playoffs.
I'll be looking my shot to play Minnesota, not because I got to deal with it. But you got to go bare your team. I'm going right in every time. I'm a two of the best officer players.
I'm a loser. Yeah. Show me the moment. But anybody is like that.
They don't play. It's going to go bad. We saw what we saw with Jogadid to him. But that joke is all right.
I'm going to stop you there. I'm going to stop you there. No, no, no, no, no. Stop you going to watch basketball.
They did the same shit to him in Utah. They are episodes. I'm going to say the same as that shit. When he was in Utah, this is not new.
Yeah. He's physically out of here. I'll see exactly. He's making first thing about the game.
Bro, that's not why he's trying to take it. He's playing all sort of teams because he's only center. He's only one. Joe DeBuele.
But go bare is still an asset though. He's still a play defense. Regardless, if you get by Joe, go if you get. You can go get some other play.
We can start. You can go get some other play. You can go get some other role. You can take the ET out.
I keep him for like you can. I do. If I keep him. You can go.
Yes. Go bare is valuable, man. He has a real value for what they want to do. If you actually remove go bare and keep towns, you'll see how much towns need to go bare.
But you can say the same thing the other way around. No, you can't. Go bare is more consistent on defense than towns is anywhere else. You think you're saying, Luke ain't happy to be playing go bare?
It's a little good though. We're talking about the best off here. You're talking about the best off here. It's the point.
We're in the playoffs now. And we're in the crux of the playoffs. I'm just going to see the Lucas, the Joker. You're right.
The real player, Anthony Elwood. You know what? Here's the thing. And he can't get past him.
Here's the thing, man. Sometimes the last thing. Sometimes the film is just the film. And sometimes it is as simple as they have two better players than we do.
Because if you've had leads in each game, you've got the coach of the year, got defense player of the year, you have guys breaking out into their own relative stardom, like Rotten These are not necessarily like, oh, you're not doing your job things. These are just your young, your calling thing down. And this is who you've been your entire career. And go bare as this is who you've been your entire career.
A great anchor to funnel guys into the paint. But you can't step out and guard nobody's like that. I'm a Mitchell is in Cleveland. And you're in Minnesota.
So sometimes it is just something that is what it is. This is what it is, man. This might just be Kyrie and Lucas time. Yeah.
And you know, I'm glad you said that because that's where we're going to go next. You know, they basically will go to the finals. You know, you got to go bare in Fau turobi, you got to go bare in Fau turobi, you got to go in Fau turobi. They all got three fouls in the second quarter.
This game and it came back from that lead. They was yeah, but that was given. But then so now they can't even be on the court. So now this is a wrap.
They were in this game. I'll be shot. So the college has been made. It's time for Luca to go ahead and go to the finals.
It's been more impactful though. Luca or Kyrie? That's a great question. Yeah, I'm sorry.
I was saying his Kyrie. Kyrie question. I was going to say Kyrie because what what Luca does, Lucas is like this. It's like this.
Kyrie is at another level right now. So even though we know he got it in him, he's able to do so with freedom. And it's at three times more awesome. I mean, more often now is his team than before, even in the regular season.
So he stepped up his plate tremendously in these playoffs and has won these games without question. And Lucas has done a great job of deferring and getting the hell out of his way when he needed to. Because at times, you know what I'm saying? People always talk about Luca being a ball hog.
They've unlocked the code at this point. And they figured out, hey, this is our team. At times, you bet, man. And I'm Robin.
And then I could switch it on and off. And that's what makes them special. But Kyrie is played to me. Like I said, and I've been debating in my head, I've said a couple of times, this is just as impressive as Cleveland running me.
If not more. Kyrie, no one's saying that. They got to win the championship for you to say that. Kyrie is the greatest Robin in basketball history in my personal opinion when it comes to offense.
Not like in terms of championship, that degree because you got to get out to probably pipping in a lot of people's minds. Better than Kobe? Some people said, I feel like, I feel like Kobe's never been really a Robin outside of the Shaq. I'm talking about the Shaq years.
Is he better than that Shaq run? In terms of like what he can do offensively, I feel like he was more skilled than Kobe was during those years. During the later years when he was switching to 24, no, Kobe's probably the most skilled guard small forward that we've seen. But if we're talking about just the in terms of the Robin role, in terms of the number two guy, there's no better guy to have his number two.
When you have alpha number one, like a Luca or a LeBron, you know what I mean? That's kind of where I'm at. Because if we're talking isolation scoring, they're the greatest backward I've ever seen. Not saying shooting, because that's definitely still.
But every time I isolation scoring three level, like mid-post, like at the top of the key, the nail, side out, like it doesn't matter the situation. Like dribble, dribble, pound pull up, step backs. Yeah, Clay never had that. Clay is moving without the ball.
This run is a very spectacular run, but it just shows that Kyrie has allowed for Luca to get looks that he wasn't getting even with Jalen Bronson. I feel like Bronson might. And I think that Bronson could have grown into being a really good number two for Luca. But the level of separation that Kyrie can create, the creativity he has when he gets to the basket, the baggage is so deep.
And just the mastery of isolation scoring that he just somehow knows how to fit within an offense. It's actually like wizardry. And another thing to before I pass the baton to Nick. We say so much about the players and everything.
And I agree that they should get like 90%. But 10% of this got to go to the coach, because Jason Kidd is whooping finches ass right now. He's been out coaching him every single game. Thanks.
That was my next point. Q, I was going to mention, I think the unsung hero of all this is Jason Kidd. Especially with a lot of these moves came into the last two seasons. Like as far as the trade acquisitions, the drafts, and even being able to coach and mentor Kyrie, which I gave most of that to Kidd, I don't give it to nobody else.
I ain't saying Luca, you can't really shift to me in this scenario, it's more so Kyrie and Jay Kidd. Cause to me, Kyrie, honestly, he may be, I don't know if that could say he's the best. That argument that Q part of the greatest Robin may be true. But I would say he's probably a top three clutch player of all time when it comes to like a play off run.
And the reason why I told you, I got to wait to say if they win the championship to say, to compare that Cleveland team, cause the hit that him LeBron did to come back down, bro. Like I don't know if I wish some people would just rewatch those like that finals. That series was crazy. Both of them was dropping 35 plus.
Like it was some phenomenal duo action pause. But I will say that to me, it's to me is Kyrie. Kyrie, he did everything that would, he did the things that everybody said he does best. Like shut up and drill.
All right. Like we don't want to hear you talk about nothing else. We don't care about all the other extra shit. Cause that mostly kept you off the court.
But when you're on the court and you just doing your thing professionally, it's like, to me just looking at this makes me like, if he would have done this in Boston, we're talking about a dynasty era. Like we're talking about something that maybe the world is when I would have been to win all those titles towards the end. After that, you know, those first two. And because Boston, like they were all young still like, imagine Kyrie on this year's self-ticking or last year's something like that would have been crazy.
You know what makes this even more impressive is the fact that now he's even bothering you on the defensive here. Kyrie has been playing some amazing defensive. And that's coaching. That's why I said that's why Jason does get a lot.
I said in the chat about Jason get to, he should get a lot of this credit. The adjustments that he's making, the times that he rests them as he rests them in opposite times. And he's getting guys in the game like J. Hardy that's playing well.
