Get details about how you can get involved and support us launching new youth centered projects and events such as the Promote the Positive campaign and the historical Peace Park & Garden model in Milwaukee.  taken from recent press release: ...This most recent expansion for Summer of Peace 365 is a vacant lot turned Peace Park & Garden on the highly visible South East corner intersection of 5th St and Locust St.  The Peace Park and Garden is harmoniously considered to be part of both the Bronzeville and Harambee neighborhood areas. The Peace Park and Garden’s will consist of 5 -10 “Earth Boxes” or raised garden beds to be used by neighborhood individuals and families or groups to grow produce for themselves. The Peace Park and Garden will also be tended to and maintained by area residents, youth groups, and local organizations. The produce from the communal Peace Garden will be split first with the plot gardeners with the remainder given to those in need in the Harambee community for free. Organizers also plan to help facilitate a market with other Harambee community gardens. The remaining Park space will be used as an active open area to display outdoor artwork and hold gatherings, which will grow community connections and resilience.
