Code Red ABV: 6.2% Style: Red IPA Country/Location: Burleigh Heads, Australia One of my favourite beers from one of my favourite Australian breweries. Code Red, while not particularly red in colour is everything you could want from a red IPA. As soon as the can is cracked to when the beer hits the bottom of your glass your nose is filled with the aromas of toffee and malt. Utilising Citra, Moasaic and Simcoe hops you pick up sublte citrus and pine notes, but the big winner here is the toasted malt and toffee flavours yummmmm. Not a beer for a hot afternoon, more for a night in with a hearty meal or when playing FIFA or crusing NETFLIX. Keep pumping out the goods Black Hops! @blackhopsbeer on Instagram.
