Get Up (Tom Pound)

This week we dive into the theme of immediate obedience and following Jesus. In Matthew 9:9, Matthew's swift response to Jesus's call challenges us to reflect on our own obedience. Exploring Matthew 9:9-13, we witness Jesus's radical inclusivity and His call to mercy over sacrifice, urging us to reconsider our interactions with society's outcasts. We contemplate why Matthew responded so decisively to Jesus's call and discuss what it means to follow Jesus as a way of life, not just a checklist of religious duties. Drawing inspiration from Tim Keller, we reflect on moments of realizing Jesus is all we need and discuss tangible steps to align our lives with His teachings. Join us as we explore these insights and strive to embody the love and leadership of Jesus in our community and beyond.
