from Inspired Word Of God · host Marsha Singleton
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof arethe ways of death. Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. John 8:1-11 NLT[1] Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, 2 but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. 3 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. 4 Teacher, they said to Jesus, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone! 8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. 9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, Where are your accusers? Didn't even one of them condemn you?11 No, Lord, she said. And Jesus said, Neither do I. Go and sin no more.Luke 13:1-5 NLT[1] About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple. 2 Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all the other people from Galilee? Jesus asked. Is that why they suffered? 3 Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.Luke 13:22-30 NLT[22] Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he went, always pressing on toward Jerusalem. [23] Someone asked him, Lord, will only a few be saved?" He replied, [24] Work hard to enter the narrow door to God's Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail. [25] When the master of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. You will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Lord, open the door for us!' But he will reply, I don't know you or where you come from.[26] Then you will say, But we ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.[27] And he will reply, I tell you, I don't know you or where you come from. Get away from me, all you who do evil.[28] There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, for you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, but you will be thrown out. [29] And people will come from all over the world-from east and west, north and south-to take their places in the Kingdom of God. [30] And note this: Some who seem least important now will be the greatest then, and some who are the greatest now will be least important then.Matthew 7:13-14 KJV13 Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leaders to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leaders unto life and few there be that find it.MattSong: King Jesus Will Roll All Your Burdens Awayby Kenneth Morris 1947Pianist: Late Mrs. Loretta RaySinger: Marsha SingletonSong: "This Little Light of Mine" Reference Credits:Edward G.
