Our special guest will be 34 year FDNY veteran Assistant Chief James Daly Jr..He was Appointed to FDNY Proby School in 1985 ..and was Assigned to Eng. 1 in Manhattan.In 1987; Transferred to Engine 216. In 1988 he transferred to Engine 92 in the Bronx. In 1994 he was Promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Division 12 and then assigned to 161 Truck. He transferred to Engine 249 in 1995. In 1999 he was promoted to Captain, and in 2000 was assigned to Engine 80 . In 2001 after 9/11 he was promoted to Battalion Chief and assigned to the Rescue Battalion. In 2003 he transferred to Battalion 44. In 2003..he was promoted to Deputy Chief in Division 3. In 2004 he was assigned Chief of Rescue Operations and 2005 to Div 15. Promoted to Deputy Assisant Chief in 2012. In 2014 Promoted to Assistant Chief and retired in 2017. He operated at the scene of many historic fires in the FDNY and the Miracle on the Hudson .
