Our special guest will be current 22 year Coral Springs Parkland Fire Dept Battalion Chief Anthony Gonzalez. He started as a Volly in 91, in NY. Moved to Florida, joined the volly's there in 1995. Was Hired late 2000 for the Coral Springs Parkland Fire Department as a FF/EMT. He became a Fire instructor in 2004. He was Promoted to Driver in 2005 and then to Lt./Captain in 2007. He became a member of FLTF2 (USAR) in 2012 and promoted to Squad Boss on USAR in 2015. He was promoted to Training BC in 20He was one of the first on scene on February 14, 2018, when 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz opened fire on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the town of Parkland, Florida...murdering 17 people and injuring 17 others. This was with his daughter in the school. The killing spree is the deadliest high school shooting in United States history .We will also have on Nancy Carbone and her daughter Kia Carbone from Friends of Firefighters.Gonzo is one of our greatest friends since starting the podcast.
