GETTIN' SALTY EXPERIENCE PODCAST Ep.139 - Our special guest will be 30 year FDNY veteran Deputy Chief Paul Mannix. He was on the NYPD from 1984-1988. He transferred over to the FDNY in 1988 and was assigned to 50 Truck. He transferred to 17 Truck in 1992. Was promoted to Lt in 1994 and then assigned to Ladder 117. He made Captain in 1999 and was assigned to Division 11. Promoted to Battalion Chief in 2004 and assigned to the 53 Battalion. In 2007 he was promoted to Deputy Chief and assigned to Division 6 until 2022. He worked at the UFOA from 2016-2022. He retired in 2022. He was an integral part of Merit Matters which was an advocacy group dedicated to preserving merit in the FDNY testing, hiring and promotion process.
